Livestock Shipping & Refund Policy
Thank you for choosing The solent shrimp co. Because of the delicate nature of live invertebrates, we have a strict policy to ensure the safety of our livestock and the satisfaction of our customers.
1. Live Arrival Guarantee (LAG)
We guarantee that your shrimp will arrive alive. In the rare event of a DOA (Dead on Arrival), we will provide a refund for the cost of the deceased shrimp or send a replacement (subject to availability).
2. DOA Claim Requirements
To qualify for a refund or replacement, you must follow these steps:
Timeframe: Send a clear photo of the deceased shrimp in the original, unopened bag within 2 hours of the first delivery attempt.
Contact: Email thesolentshrimpco@gmail.com with your order number and the required photos.
Condition: Once the bag is opened or the shrimp are added to your aquarium, our liability ends. We cannot guarantee survival in your specific water parameters.
3. No Returns Policy
Due to biosecurity risks and the stress of transit, we do not accept returns on live shrimp. * All sales are final once the shrimp have been shipped.
We do not offer refunds for “buyer’s remorse” or if you are unable to maintain the necessary water parameters (GH, KH, pH, and Temperature) required for Caridina species.
4. Shipping Note
Shipping costs are non-refundable. If a replacement is requested, the customer may be responsible for the cost of the new shipping label depending on the circumstances of the initial delivery.
